RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

            School of Energy Studies (SES) is an Inter Disciplinary Science Centre. Students from any science department can use the facilities available in SES to carry out their research work. The main research fields in SES are solar thermal and solar photovoltaic. Other research areas are biomass technologies and wind energy. Facilities available in SES to carry out research activities:

Major systems available in the laboratory are:

  1. Anelva - Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (P-CVD) system

  2. Hot Wire - Chemical Vapor Deposition (HW-CVD) system

  3. Electron Beam Deposition system

  4. Spray Pyrolysis system

  5. Photo Chemical Deposition system

  6. DLTS for material characterisartion etc.

On-Going Research Schemes / Projects:

  1. Regional Test and Technical Back-up Centre (MNRE).

  2. Energy Park

  3. Development and Study of Fresnel Lens based Solar Concentrator (DST).

  4. Synthesis of Nano-Crystaline Si:H using Hot-Wire CVD (UoP).
