This is heterogenous group working in experimental as well as computational physics. This group consists of 5 faculty members.
Active areas in experimental research are Wide Band gap Semiconductors, Colossal Magneto Resistance (CMR) Materials, Ferrites and Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMS).
Synthesis of these materials in polycrystalline bulk form is carried out using standard solid state reaction route. Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) technique is used to prepare thin films. Recently Chemical Synthesis is also being developed for the synthesis of these materials in nano form.
In Computational research, active work is being carried out on Microfluidics, Soft Condensed Matter and various growth processes using computer simulations.
